BJSENDI is an independent English journal for people making a little room for plants in everyday life.
Our purpose
A new leaf can turn an ordinary corner into a place you notice. Keeping that plant growing takes observation, a few useful habits, and advice that makes sense in a real room. BJSENDI brings together practical explanations of indoor growing, from choosing a window to understanding what is happening inside a pot.
Our aim is to help readers make informed choices for their own growing conditions. A room, its light, and a plant change through the year. Our guides explain what to look for and how to respond instead of promising a single routine that works everywhere.
What you will find here
We write about familiar indoor plants and the everyday decisions involved in caring for them. Each guide focuses on a clear question or a particular plant. Scientific names are included where they help distinguish plants with similar common names. Practical details matter, especially when a small change to watering, light, or a pot makes the next decision easier.
How our content is prepared
BJSENDI uses original explanatory writing supported by established horticultural knowledge. Reference links point to relevant gardening organizations, botanic collections, or university extension material so readers can explore a topic further. A reference is not an endorsement of BJSENDI. We do not invent personal growing trials, professional qualifications, or research findings.
Digital tools assist with preparing our editorial material. Our 300 potted flower guides and 100 indoor tree guides use real photographs from credited photographers and botanical collections. Creator and license details appear on our Photo Credits page. The earlier plant care collection includes 36 botanical images created for BJSENDI as illustrations. We do not present those illustrations as photographs of plants we have grown. Growing conditions and the appearance of individual plants naturally vary.
Meaning and thoughtful gifts
Our tree guides distinguish botanical origins and practical care from cultural associations or personal design interpretations. A plant is not a promise of wealth, health, luck, or improved performance. Gift suggestions depend on the recipient’s preferences, available growing conditions, space, and relevant household constraints. The Plant Pairings collection explores 86 settings using existing plant guides and does not replace their individual care instructions.

Publication and revision dates describe the page history; changing the order of stories on our homepage does not change an article's date.
